Professor Shane Culpepper is a leading international researcher in efficient retrieval systems, natural language processing, and machine learning algorithms at scale.
As a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at The University of Queensland (UQ), Shane’s work focuses primarily on building large scale search and recommendation algorithms, as well as spatial query optimisation, and he has published more than 130 peer-reviewed papers in this space. He is currently the Director of AI Research and Strategic Partnerships for UQ’s AI Research Network, and was previously the founding Director of the Centre of Information Discover and Data Analytics at RMIT University.
