Brad Long is an R&D Director at TechnologyOne, where he has held technology leadership roles since 2011, supporting the development and evolution of large-scale browser- and cloud-based enterprise ERP platforms. He has more than 30 years of experience in software engineering and technology leadership, having worked across enterprise software, healthcare, higher education and government, including senior engineering roles at Oracle, Mincom and Fujitsu.
Brad has extensive experience in software development, software architecture, and engineering leadership, while remaining hands-on across a broad range of technologies. He has a strong academic and research background, with a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Queensland and research interests spanning software verification and testing, distributed systems, quantum computing, and cybersecurity. His more recent work extends these interests into AI and agentic systems, exploring governance, behavioural stability and reliable constraints for adaptive AI. He holds formal qualifications in several fields including computer science, business, education, cybersecurity and leadership.
