The key objectives of the Alliance are:

Increasing the viability of the return on AI: Leverage federal grant schemas and create unique opportunities for its members to shape and participate in competitive proposals such as the Australian Research Council’s (ARC) Linkage projects, Industrial Transformation Research Program (ITRP) through Training Centres (ITTCs) and Hubs (ITRHs), Centre of Excellence Scheme, and Cooperative Research Centres (CRCs).  Accessing the substantial government funds provided by these schema, can mean the economic catalyst needed to justify the next AI business case.

Accelerating access to critical Enterprise AI capability: Enable our members representing the private, public, and academic sector to jointly and quickly identify, resource, and scale, Enterprise AI research projects, and facilitate finding the best AI expert, the most insightful AI case study and the most in demand AI challenge. This will create an exciting, collaborative momentum and ultimately first mover advantages for all its members as they build validated competencies and capabilities.

Scaling existing Enterprise AI initiatives: Build trans-disciplinary and multi-sectoral collaborations with a focus on ensuring a system-wide, well governed use of AI by connecting members to leading researchers across computing, business and management, design, law and social sciences. In a crowded and fast moving AI attention economy, the alliance will stand out through its diverse research capabilities and extensive collaborations so its members can scale their AI momentum with confidence and consistency.

National and international leadership: Demonstrate national and international leadership, connect with world leading international research and development, and help bring Australian organisations to the forefront of Enterprise AI.
